Hawaii's new wave power

Hawaii's new wave power
On the surface, OPT's PowerBuoy resembles any ordinary ocean buoy.
Ocean Power Technologies announced Thursday that it will be installing a water-power buoy system to tie into Hawaii's Oahu Island power grid.
The New Jersey-based company makes ocean buoys that harness the energy of ocean waves to generate electricity that is then sent back to shore via underwater cable.
Through a partnership with the U.S. Navy, Ocean Power has been developing technology that could supplement electricity needs for the military in Hawaii. More...

November
I'm still not working but I have applied for a job at Minnesota GreenStar, a non profit organization promoting green building standards for residential construction and existing homes. I'm looking forward to a visit from Jim and Chris this Friday, we are having dessert and they get to meet Fresca. Later this month we are hosting Thanksgiving, and Stephanie's family visits and generally we have a good time.
Stephanie's aunt Amy was in a farming accident and is still in the hospital in Rochester. Hopefully she'll be able to go home soon.
I'm studying Dreamweaver, CSS, Coda, and php again. A really good website to learn computer applications is lynda.com, and I've spent many hours there watching their tutorials.
Books I'm reading right now include the fourth book in the Thursday Next series and Cesar Millan's second book.

Carl's website
Welcome to my website. I'll be keeping this home page up to date with news, information, and general nonsense as I see fit. There may be lapses in my judgement, and I may tend to wander around a subject before I misinterpret it, however, you'll never be more highly entertained than you are right now.
